Dulcimer Hughes Rare 6 String from the Revival Period Gorgeous deep body has wonderful rich tones and long sustain 28.5 VSL label dated 1977
$329.00
Description
Labeled by the Hughes Co/Colorado This is the first Hughes 6 string I’ve ever come across. IT SOUNDS AMAZING. Strung in dd-AA-DD with flat wound cello strings on the drones, it has an incredible soulful sound. Made simply, but well, of Mahogany Laminate, the builder added extra depth [California style?] that just adds to the richness of tone. Long sustain, and a 28 1/2 VSL. It is memorable to play. And looks pretty nice, for its 48 years of age. Frets polished up, new strings, and free shipping.
